For the attention of Mr. W.A.Robotham.

Dear Sirs,

We thank you for yours of the 23rd instant, reference as above, and for your Order No. 51263 duly to hand and acknowledgment slip of which we enclose.

As stated in our last letter, we shall do our best to put these 6 special cams through as soon as possible and as regards price please note that we propose, as is our usual practice in this special work, to put them on a cost basis.

We have also noted the last paragraph of your letter with interest. While fully appreciating your desire to explore the possibilities of your present size of gear, our experience has taught us the desirability of providing an ample margin of safety in Steering Gears and for this reason the Writer would like to confirm the opinion be expressed in our last letter.

In the case of some cars whose life is not to be expected to be very long, it may be reasonable to make some cut on the size of gear, but in the case of cars such as your Company produce it is to our mind an entirely different matter.

Yours faithfully,
for ADAMANT ENGINEERING COMPANY, LTD.
Managing Director.
