Dear Sirs,
With reference to your letter RM{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/RC.{R. Childs}8/MH.{M. Huckerby} dated 24th. June, 1938, I am very surprised at your decision regarding the 'NER-MIS' sparking plug adaptors.

I know that a spark-gap is used in practically all forms of ignition both magneto and coil, but with all the talk of this present day spark-gap ignition it still does not overcome the old troubles which the motorists of today are still having to contend with i.e. missing caused through oily plugs and failures to start through condensation.

Not one of the methods in use at the present time other than the 'NER-MIS'(which has been proved by a vast number of motorists) will make a sparking plug fire in WATER and OIL, nor will they increase the speed and give you more m.p.g. like the 'NER-MIS' has been proven to do.

I can produce over fifty letters from motorists who even though their cars are fitted with spark-gap ignition have fitted and proved for themselves that as soon as they fit a set of these adaptors all the trouble which they had experienced in the past through oily plugs and condensation have completely vanished, these same motorists also found a wonderful improvement in engine performance, increase of speed and a big saving in petrol.

The Flight Sergeant in charge of the Mechanical Transport section of the Royal Air Force Station, Hornchurch had to remove the plugs of one of his Leyland lorries every day owing to them oiling up, he fitted a set of 'NER-MIS' and this same lorry has now been running for over two weeks without once having the plugs removed. He removed the adaptors but had to replace them in less than twelve hours as the plugs again started to oil up. He also states the starting of the vehicle is much easier and gives a far better performance than it had previously done. I can produce his signed statement to the above effect at any time.

A Bedford lorry owned by a big London transport contractor had nothing but plug trouble through oily plugs for four
