Please receive herewith two blueprints of each of the following (one extra where marked *) :- * Ex.S.624/624A Brake Drum 2 off Ex.S.624A. only. Ex.S.625 End Plate 2 off. Note that Ex.S.624 Brake Drum with cast ribs, shown on the first drawing, is not required. In order to save the cost of dies the end plates may be made from commercial plate. The purpose of this new design is to provide flexibility in the end plate in order to allow for contraction during cooling after casting the drum.
