Dear Mr. Todd,

Thank you for your letter of October 25th.
With regard to the points raised, we have not yet discovered a suitable material for the differential washers in rear axles to run with Hypoid lubricants. It is for this reason that we still recommend "Hi-Press" only. As to the steering box, etc., it was decided by the "Powers that be" here, that no additional lubricants were going to be recommended. As to the grease, you may have noticed that we have even left out some that we used to recommend.

We are still hoping that the English Oil Companies will use American type nomenclatures for their oils and greases so that we shall be able to recommend every suitable lubricant with complete impartiality.
