R.R. 235A (100 T) (S.H. 159, 11-8-20) G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} 2800 ORIGINAL TO EFC. FROM R.{Sir Henry Royce} c. to CJ. WOR.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} c. to PN.{Mr Northey} BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} c. to EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} R6/M29.1.23. RECEIVED JAN 31 1923 GOSHAWK IGNITION COIL. With reference to your EFC1/T23123., I think you have done exceedingly well with this coil, to enable us to use mouldensite insulation. I think the 1/2" longer is a very excellent way of meeting the original difficulty. Apparently a coil built in this form will be less expensive for both material and labour, and as it promises to work quite satisfactorily, I think as soon as you have proved these conclusions, we had better go ahead with this combination, making the coils in the form most suitable for the wheelcase position, with this addition of 1/2" in length.
