VALVES & FITTINGS. We find that the markings on the EAC flywheel do not correspond with the valve timings (-.010 Clce) required for maximum power. In point of fact no overlap is shewn between exhaust closing and opening. The average of all the valve timings which we have obtained from engines on test, are:- I.O. 2.3 A.T.D.C. I.C. 42.5 A.B.D.C. E.O. 48 B.B.D.C. E.C. 8.9 A.T.D.C. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
