GOSHAWK II.

X.4079 With regard to Mr. Hives' suggestion that we may want to wind a coil specially for the Goshawk since it runs on the average at a higher speed than the 40/50, I would like him to send particulars of the other windings at present on test. With regard to this point I have the impression that there is not enough pressure on the L.T. contacts. It should be as much as on the Delco. Will you kindly see if the ignition will go faster with a L.T. rocker spring, giving more pressure on the contacts.
X.3985. If Mr. Clarke hasnot already got an oscillograph I should like him to get one, or a pair of these instruments and take oscillograph diagrams of the primary and secondary currents, the same as the late Dr. Watson did for our ignition many years ago, and as Attwater-Kent shew in their catlogue.
