Dear Sirs,

Your letter of the 25th March addressed to the Research Department of our associated company, The National Smelting Company Limited, Avonmouth, has been passed to us for attention. We note that the bearings which were metalled for you with NS.{Norman Scott}5 cadmium nickel alloy are being fitted in one of your test engines and we look forward to hearing the results of your tests in due course.

With regard to the cost of this alloy, we have granted a sublicence for the sale of this alloy to the Magnolia Anti-Friction Metal Company of Great Britain Limited, 34, Victoria Street, London, S.W.1., and we have therefore requested them to submit a quotation to you.
