Sidgreaves - MD}8/E.6.3.36, the clutch we should propose to revert to on the large bore Bentley is the Rolls-Royce clutch with the fabric on the driven member, fitted to the last 200 or 300 3 1/2-litre chassis. The R.R. clutch has not had an official 15,000 miles test with the 4 1/4-litre Bentley engine, but it has had a considerable amount of experimental running. A report on the clutch work done on the 4 1/4 litre Bentley was given in Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}6/KW.19.11.35.
