Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}28/KW15.11.34 There appears to be a bit of confusion here and in order to make the matter clear the facts are as follows:- B.49.BL is the car which is fitted with a Park Ward Saloon of the second batch, which is showing signs of splitting at the pillars and other parts, according to Sr. after he had tested it thoroughly one week-end. The idea was that this car should be sent to you for examination and possibly future testing, from coachwork and other points of view. The object of my memo. C6/C14.11.34 was to say that the body of this car was not so bad that it could not go on and complete its engagements in Belgium and Switzerland, and it will be back in England about December 10th. As a matter of fact we cannot send this car back in to France again because the French Customs have put it on their Black List. The question of Hancock visiting Paris, however, was in connection with the performance of the 20/25's generally, and Mr. Poberejsky's car in particular. No doubt, however, this will work out quite satisfactorily as Sr. is expecting him. C. | ||
