S/W. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} re- B-2-GA. Cx{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager}9/KW29.4.36. I am sorry your tester had a fruitless journey to London to test the clutch of this car, which during his test behaved well. This was due to the fact we had undertaken to loan the car to Mr.Smith of the Ford Motor Co. Dagenham, and as it was jaggering so badly last Friday we had no alternative but to dope the clutch before we handed the car over to him. The result is that in a letter from Mr.Smith this morning, thanking us for the car, he has nothing but praise for it and offers no criticisms whatever. He certainly would have had some criticisms had there been a jaggering clutch. RC{R. Childs} was able to explain to your tester what was done, and I think he was very glad to have the information.
