Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd.,
DERBY.

Dear Sirs,

We are in receipt of your letter of the 12th instant, and would confirm that we are of the opinion that it would be possible to fit balance weights of a small diameter, such as were fitted as standard on Rolls Royce wheels some time ago. These were of 1 1/4" diameter, and were made up of lead and fibre washers, with a bolt running through the centre, and a nut and flat washer securing same.

We have filled in on your drawing the balance weights mentioned above, and propose making these up of 5 lead washers, plus the retaining washer, which weighs 6 ozs. We believe that three of these will satisfactorily balance a 17" rim.

We shall be glad if you will be kind enough to go into this matter, and if necessary we shall be pleased to build you up a further set of six wheels with the spacing arranged so that these balance weights can be fitted.

Awaiting the favour of your instructions, and assuring you of every attention at all times.

We are,
Yours faithfully,
FOR THE BRAMBER ENGINEERING CO. LTD.

ASSISTANT MANAGER.
