X8270 To BJ. from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} c. Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}2/T29.12.25. RE PHANTOM STARTING HANDLE. X8270 Attached herewith reply from Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} re Phantom starting handle. We find on experimental cars we can always carry the handle under the rear or front seats. It is required so very rarely that it is not essential for it to be very convenient to get at. In the ordinary way the only time the handle should be used is when working on the car in the garage.
