re. Lucas Dynamos.

With reference to your BY10/H5.5.24. We quite appreciate the points you raise, which were made clear in our correspondence to Paris.

The essence of our memo, however, was to obtain if possible from Messrs. Lucas what they consider the insulation resistance to earth of their dynamo when cold and hot. We have no doubt that they had a minimum for this which generally all electrical people have. No doubt this is a feature of their routine test and we should be in a position to know this so that we can deal with such complaints as the one we are now referring to.

We are not asking you to ask Messrs. Lucas whether they do their job properly or not, but merely to enquire what they consider is the insulation resistance and what difference there is in the machine when hot and cold.
