R.R. 235A (100 T) (S.H. 159, 11-8-20) G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} 2800 TO HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} FROM DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}1/M24.7.25. AMERICAN SPRING. Handwritten: V3900 K2628 The information you give in your HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}1/LG21725. is what we were hoping to get, but in addition we should like to know whether the plates of the American spring are more accurately manufactured than the Woodhead spring, that is to say, whether the thickness is maintained all along the plate. Are they also hollow? Mr. Royce considers that the difference lies in the heat treatment of the steel. We suppose we have no means of verifying this?
