Mr Johnson Re Body Designs at Derby. X393 Mr Spinney has nearly completed a design for an open body, instructed by you some time ago. Can you advise us if this body, when built, can be put through various tests at Derby. We are anxious to test a scheme of separate body and chassis dashes, and Mr Spinney suggests that this open body could be utilized for this purpose, but it would be inadvisable to fit the scheme in this case, unless we should have a good opportunity of observing its behaviour. It would of course be preferable to test the double dash system on a closed body, but failing this, I think we should proceed as far as possible with the open body being designed. | ||
