This owner has several times pointed out to me that the water temperature is so low that consequently he feels he is not obtaining such efficiency out of the engine as he should obtain and at this time of year, even on long runs, the temperature never exceeds 70° C. and in summer it runs about 76° instead of 85°.

When I went to Ulster for the T.T.race with him the temperature did not exceed 75°. He would like to alter it so that the temperature is 85° - 90° C. and asks whether you would be agreeable to send him the necessary parts for him to do the job himself, as he is a thoroughly capable engineer.

If O.K. will you write to him and send him the parts. If, on the other hand, you do not feel it advisable for him to do the job perhaps it could be arranged for your mechanic now down in the west country on the carb. modifications, to call on his way back and deal with the job.
