For the attention of Mr. E. {Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} Fowler Clark.

Dear Sirs,

Re Starter Motor.

We are in receipt of your letter of the 23rd. inst., reference EFC {E. Fowler Clarke - Electrical Engineer} 2/T for which accept our best thanks.

PER
We regret that it is not possible to incorporate special windings in the "3" starters which we are supplying you with as it rather reduces the power of the starter and it necessitates a larger diameter to do the same work.

We believe you intend using our standard "ZB" Starter for your pre-War car and you will find the arrangement incorporated in this.

If, however, you could accommodate a larger diameter starter in your chassis we see no reason why the old arrangement and special windings should not be used. Perhaps you will be good enough to let us have your remarks on this matter.
