Preparation of a car, including wheel nuts, wings, wheels, and tyres, for shipment to Ireland.

Dept. for B-187-BL (Mr.Hall) See Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls} Second set of racing wheel nuts in hand for use in Ireland (made in Exp.) Both rear wings taken off and returned to Makers for repairs and alteration to size of securing studs. Collected later and sent to Sanderson & Holmes for painting and polishing. Eventually fitted finally by myself in Repair Dept. Total of 15 wheels and tyres balanced and sent to Sanderson & Holmes for painting. 5 wheels and tyres fitted to car for delivery and the remaining 10 sent to Ireland. Had the car finally inspected by Repair Dept. and J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} Crofts dealt with delivery notes. Loaded the car on lorry sent by Mr. Hall. Collected necessary spares and tools and prepared same for shipment to Ireland. These were despatched passenger on Sat. 24th. New battery to be despatched to Ireland on arrival from Peto & Radford Co. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/C.Ratcliffe. | ||
