The above Owner is a very old friend of mine and has owned R.R.'s. from about 1912.

Briefly, I met him last September when he was on his way to Scotland for several months, and found the clutch poor on forward gears, and jaggering badly on reverse, and asked him to write me on his return to Surrey, as I thought by that time we would have an improvement to offer.

I have now heard from him saying the clutch still jaggers, and asking if the change would be very expensive and while I am not telling him the new plate will be fitted F.O.C., I am suggesting to him that I am sure he need not worry about the cost.

We are sending you a 10" Thermoid faced plate, and suggest that you write him, saying that you have heard from me and offer to fit the plate without charge.
