Dear Sirs, We are in receipt of your letter of the 4th. with reference to the improved magneto you are requiring, and are looking into this matter carefully, but we are certainly, at the moment, of the opinion that your requirements of good slow speed performance and long range of advance and retard can only be met satisfactorily by a magneto either of the sleeve type, or one in which provision is made for rocking the complete magnetic system, and keeping the gap between armature and pole tips, at the moment of break, approximately constant. Yours faithfully, THE M-L MAGNETO SYND. Ltd., per E.A.Watson p.p.RMLy [Handwritten Annotation: X579P] [Handwritten Annotation: Roy{Sir Henry Royce}] [Stamp: RECEIVED APR 11 1928] | ||
