As regards gaiters we should like a sample gaiter sent down here in order that we may examine it and set it down and see if an improvement can be effected. This gaiter should preferably be one which encloses the shackles.

WHEELS.
We are investigating the points raised by R.{Sir Henry Royce} in connection with Dunlop wheels and shall send any modifications required along immediately. This also applies to some modifications to the hub and driving gear which Mr. Royce asked for.

STEERING COLUMN OIL LEAK.
We will deal with this in the immediate future.

LOOSE FLOOR BOARDS.
We presume that the floor boards are loose because they are not fitted with the latches of which we have sent through a scheme. We presume that no action is required on our part until this latch has been tried.

FRONT SHOCK ABSORBERS.
The question of increased spring range and higher pressure was dealt with on N.sch. 1251.

EXHAUST CUT-OUT.
We are engaged in scheming Mr. Royce's proposed cut-out which will be ready in a few days.

PEDALS FOR "B" STEERING.
The giving of increased room by moving the pedals forward has been dealt with on N.sch. 1240.

PETROL PIPE FROM AUTOVAC TO CARBURETTER.
We did not send a scheme of the run of the pipe, and we presume that these modifications are being carried out at Derby.

OIL LEAKS FROM GEARBOX AND AXLE.
We understand that it is the main centre joint at the bottom which leaks and we presume that Works will investigate this before any modification in design is considered.
We should also like further information on the question of oil running from the off-side brake drum.

BATTERY BOX HANGAR BRACKETS. X.4378
The scheme of the altered brackets will be ready immediately.
