Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}16/KW21.6.34 We note this material has been sent to Cricklewood and we are giving instructions for it to be sent over to Kingsbury. We will have this changed on the Trials cars as soon as possible. We have asked Bn.{W.O. Bentley / Mr Barrington} to report to you our experience with these linings as we go along. We have also offered to fit one set to Malcolm Campbell's car. We note that so far as Miss Smith is concerned you think this material is superior to the old Ferodo Bonded Asbestos which was fitted to Mr.Paton's car. Would you please, therefore, arrange to send a set to Reid in Glasgow, and we are giving him instructions to get Miss Smith's car in as soon as he receives the material. C. P.S. We note from your Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}4/KW22.6.34 to hand this afternoon that there has been some delay and these linings will not be despatched until Thursday, the 28th inst. Have you now asked them to send this material to Kingsbury, or shall we do so? | ||
