Private & Confidential S/W Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}..from C. 1044 C3/C17.9.41 Re B-V.{VIENNA} used by Lp.{Mr Lappin} ------ Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}8/ET9.9.41. I note what you say concerning this, but unless you think it absolutely essential I am a bit reluctant about telling Hythe Road to do this job because of the scarcity of skilled workmen we may use on motorcar repairs and the terrible number of cars that are waiting. I understand that to dismantle this chassis would take a couple of men a week and, of course, this amounts to quite a lot when you remember there are only 20 men to do all the repairs to Rolls-Royce and Bentley cars in the Kingdom. What do you think about this? C. | ||
