re. SPRINGS FOR SPAIN.

We have this morning received your Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}10/M/10.3.27. Rv's memo, reference Rv1/Ag.1.3.27. together with the previous correspondence with regard to springs has already been considered here, and for your information, we attach hereto our memo to BY.reference EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}6/H8.3.27. and his reply BY8/H9.3.27. upon which we shall be glad to have your comments.

Please return the correspondence as quickly as possible as we have not taken copies.

In the meantime your Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}10/M/10.3.27. is having attention, but it appears to us as though the best all round compromise, in view of the information available regarding the conditions prevailing in Spain, is to deal with all cars for Spain under the heading 'A' of BY's memo, and as suggested by you in the penultimate paragraph of your Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}10/M/10.3.27., and with the addition that the hydraulic dampers or double Hartford damping should be fixed. We are consulting with BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} on this matter and will have a definite reply sent through as soon as possible.

We do not consider that any alteration should be made to the front springs on cars for Spain, and these should remain as at present.

EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}
