MODIFICATIONS TO CUSTOMERS' B.V CARS To overcome crashing at the front, the following modification is required: The buffer stop, FB.3544, should be modified by the fitting of an extra stiffener, FB.3612, on the outside of the buffer stop in order to bring the bump buffer into action earlier. Since the front springs are shorter than experimental springs, the following packings are required:- 2 off FB.3547 on the near-side and 4 off FB.3547 on the off-side. This also takes care of the fact that the off-side has considerably more weight on it due to the situation of the spare wheel and steering gear. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Clm.{D. D.
