Minutes from a chassis conference detailing parts required to substitute a pre-loading spring for a straight roller bearing.

In accordance with the Tester's conference, the minutes of which were recorded in Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}5/ML.4.12.40, the following are the instructions called for in Item 22.

The following parts will be required to substitute the pre-loading spring for the straight roller bearing.

GB.3981 Housing Oil Seal. 1 "

GB.3983 Housing Roller Bearing. 1 "

The following bearings will be required :-

Timkin Roller Bearing - 3.265 x 1.750 x .875 Series 35,000. 1 Off.

Hoffmann RXLS 1 3/4 1 "

Stud - Oil seal housing KB.758 6 "

Nut - " " " K.4310 6 "

The diffuser casing to accommodate these bearings appears to be slightly modified in diameter, and should this be considered necessary, we could copper plate the surface in order to increase the diameter from 1.750 +1/4 to 1.7515 -1/4.

This completes the instructions.
