X8664 With reference to our notes EFC4/T28.3.28 and EFC3/T28.3.28 dealing respectively with 26 slot armatures for the 20 H.P. and 40/50 H.P., will you please note that in view of R2/M18.4.28 it will be necessary to cancel these instructions for the time being. We should be pleased if Mr. Davis could make a rough drawing of one slot of 28 slots in which the number of turns per coil has been altered from 4 to 3, and the slot less deep and wider accordingly. We considered this case before finally arriving at the 26 slots, and decided that it was rather unsatisfactory. We would probably send a copy of Mr. Davis' rough lay-out to R.{Sir Henry Royce} for his comments. EFC. | ||
