For the attention of Mr. Price. Dear Sir, With reference to your letter of the 24th.inst. Following our tests on the MA.1 Type of tyre we think that this is a very reasonable type of tread. We understand from your representative that the MA.2 type of tyre will not be more noisy, and will have slightly better non-skid properties. If this is so, we think you could, without danger, put in hand a 6" x 19" size mould for the MA.2 type tread. It will of course be necessary for us to carry out some experimental tests on these tyres when you have finished them, before standardising them as we have never yet had any MA.2 type tyres in the Experimental Dept., though a set have been run on 21" rims on our Managing Director's car.
