R.R. 493a (50m) (D.B. 175 25-9-24) J.H.D. EXPERIMENTAL REPORT. Expl. No. REF: Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}7/LG21.5.25. To C.J. from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. to R.{Sir Henry Royce} c. to Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} S E C R E T. 'INDIA' WITH F.W.B. FOR TESTS IN FRANCE. Handwritten notes: X5840, R, X5770, X5840 We find that it will be Monday before we get all the papers settled to enable us to send this car to France. In order to avoid the R.A.C. inspection of the car, the car is taken out under a Touring Acquit, which we obtain from Paris. In the meantime, very useful work is being done on the Car. Before it leaves we hope to have fitted to it the latest instructed worm wheels for the servo. We had hoped to fit some of the correct road springs, but we have since heard that we shall not receive the springs in time. We are expecting the car to leave Derby on Monday the 25th. inst.
