Coverley - Production Engineer} HDY {William Hardy} /2/24.12.32. X235. SHOCK DAMPERS Herewith is N. scl. 3527. shewing a differential drilling for the locking of the nuts for the inner and outer lever bolts. Eight slots are provided in the nut, and three holes in the bolt giving 15° between the locking positions instead of 60°. The bolt is shewn drilled as for a Phantom connecting rod bolt as suggested by HS {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} /RM. {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} for greater flexibility. We have not gone to a finer thread, as this should be accompanied by a longer nut which cannot be got in without alteration to the damper body. HDY. {William Hardy} | ||
