X.295 To En. From By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} ---------------- EYS/P2.-3.20. x.2565 - CHASSIS PARTS WHICH ARE HELD UP AFTER CHASSIS 1000. I have gone carefully through the whole position again and find that the parts we require releasing after chassis 1000 are as follows :- (X.3014) (3) Section 731c. Dynamo. (X.295.) It is important that a decision should be arrived at as to whether we intend carrying on with the Lucas dynamo type E.375 beyond chassis 1000. We do not feel, at the moment, there is any chance of bringing in the Smith dynamo at that particular chassis, although if Messrs. Lucas were agreeable it might be possible to adopt a slight modification to E.375 by lengthening the armature, as suggested by R.{Sir Henry Royce} A decision on this point therefore is imperative in the near future. | ||
