P I WEIGHT ORIGINAL TO HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} FROM R.{Sir Henry Royce} R5/M29.9.25. Copy to GJ. (struck through) re. PHANTOM WEIGHTS. X8840 / X8810 I am very pleased to hear that we are on the way towards considerable reduction in the weight of this chassis. 1 cwt. off the wheels and tyres is excellent, and should be standardised as soon as possible, in addition to the nearly 70 lbs. we have already got off the engine, in carburetter, induction pipe, and flywheels, etc. The front axle is the next item.
