Replying to Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}10/KW.27.4.36, I am in agreement that we should bring in the improvement to the coolant circulation as soon as possible. This is a modification for which we have been seeking experimental confirmation for some time. I am somewhat doubtful however of the suggestion to alter the water holes in the gasket, as unless special provision is taken this does not provide the extra thicknesses of metal for sealing that are normally provided round the water holes, also there is the danger of someone reversing the gasket end for end. We are, therefore, looking into the question to see what provision can be made. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} OE | ||
