WRAITH PROGRESS.

The third Wraith car on which it is proposed to run the 15,000 miles' test was completed on July 1st and handed to test. The engin is rough both on the pick-up and at high speeds. It is not as smooth as either of the two standard 25/30 engines which have been running in the Wraith cars already built.

With a view to getting an average figure of merit for the new Wraith engine, we are having the other Gold Standard Specification engine, which we have running on the test bed, put into No.1 Wraith car. Not until we have made this test could we pass an intelligent opinion on the loose liner Wraith engine.
