Please reply to the queries in the 2nd paragraph and send copies to all concerned at W.

"With reference to your Hd{Mr Hayward/Mr Huddy}/CI.17/KHs.10.30. from enquiries made, this axle appears to be the first record we have had of a failure in which the latest modifications have been fitted.

I suggest, however, information should be obtained as to the tyre and amount of oil which was found in the axle when first taken off the car by "N". or has the axle been returned to the Works just as it was taken off the car?"
