A. Archer} with regard to the treatment of the cotton duck washers for the crankshaft damper in answer to my memo. Although LA.{L. A. Archer} has explained the Laboratory washing of the cotton ducks and the results of two engines, as being good, it does not clear up, what is the position with regard to Depots. If you have found that special washing of the cotton ducks is an advantage, I would suggest that a memo should be sent to the Depots for them to return cotton ducks in stock for them to be treated, so that no recurrent complaint could arise.
