Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} X4267 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}3/LG30.12.21. X4247 GOSHAWK 11. X4219 X4267 The works are now starting on production of the Goshawk 11. chassis so therefore, we are very anxious now to clear up some of the remaining points. We are very anxious to know whether we can consider the gear box casting as final. We fear that when you scheme the different arrangement of pedals for the "D" steering, you will alter the position of the pedal shaft which will demand an alteration to the boss or an extra boss on the gear box. We should also like to have as soon as possible, the final dash boards. supports When I was last at W.W. I left there a paper which gave a comparison of the stress of the foot brake equalizer shaft compared with the 40/50 H.P. As we point out, we get two degrees of twist on this shaft when the brake is fully applied; on the 40/50 we get none. We should like to know whether you propose making any modifications. Most people who have tried Goshawk 11. have complained that there are no stops for the pedals; accelerator and brake pedal come against the floor board as the stop. We think it would be an advantage to have a stop on both these pedals if it can be conveniently arranged. MADE AT CROXLEY Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
