+4586 HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} G RHC{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} 20 HP. STEEL ARTILLERY WHEELS SUITABLE FOR F.W.B. The first set of these wheels has been delivered by the Dunlop Company and are being sent into the Experimental Dept. We have only got one set of these on order at the moment, although I have been urging Sales to place a definite order for 50 sets for the last two to three months. Sales attitude is that they are awaiting some experimental data before making any decision. Will you kindly arrange to give this matter urgent attention as unless we have an early test and report it is pretty certain that cars with FWB. will be required before the wheels are ready. In any case, we ought to fit up any "India" chassis for which the customer specifies artillery wheels, with the new type wheel. At present, of course, we shall have to fit wire wheels and replace them with artillery wheels when same become available. BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} By | ||
