We agree with you that you have no alternative but to turn these cars out with sufficient clearance on the rear brake shoes to avoid the possibility of seizing up. We know quite well from tests that one of the main troubles is the expansion of the aluminium brake shoe. The designers have the figures and we hope they will make some alteration before long.
