Messrs.Gallay Ltd.,
Vulcan Works,
Edgware Road,
Cricklewood,
London. N.W.2.

For the attention of Mr.S.Peplin.

Dear Sirs,

Referring to your letter of 6th. January, we do not think any useful purpose would be served by submitting samples since unless your matrix has altered very considerably since the samples which we tested approximately one year to eighteen months ago, we are fully informed as to its performance, which on heat dissipation per cu.ft./matrix or per lb. of matrix basis is slightly inferior to the film block which we are using.

Your price of course, is so much in excess of the film block that it puts your matrix right out of court. It is about 50% in excess of the price for which we can buy a Morris block of similar size, which we believe is your own core under another name.

Yours faithfully,

for ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
