DIRECTORS: L. T. DELANEY D.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} C. DELANEY C. T. DELANEY GALLAY LTD. SUCCESSORS TO GALLAY RADIATOR CO LTD AUTOMOBILE, AVIATION AND GENERAL SHEET METAL WORK, ETC. Specialists in Light Alloys, Radiators, Tanks, etc. YOUR REF. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std.3/MH{M. Huckerby} OUR REF. C.M.D. For the attention of Mr. C. S. Steadman. MESSRS. ROLLS-ROYCE LTD., Derby. TELEPHONE: GLADSTONE 2201-2-3 VULCAN WORKS, EDGWARE ROAD, CRICKLEWOOD, N.W.2. 21st JANUARY, 1938. Dear Sirs, We are in receipt of your letter of the 20th instant and desire to advise you that a sample we offered to submit did not consist of a complete block, but only of the material undipped, so that you can assure yourselves of the superiority of our quality and suitability for a car of the standing of Rolls Royce. While Messrs. Morris manufacture under our licence and pay us royalty, they do not use the same tools for the manufacturing processes and there are differences in our block which make it distinguishable from that manufactured by Messrs. Morris. We supply Messrs. Talbot, Austin, Lanchester, Rover, etc., etc. with our type and are receiving repeat orders for this season's requirements. Various Government Departments have tested our system and we have had information that they have found it superior to any other. In addition to the super-efficiency of our type of block, it is practically indestructible and can be used in countries where the water is such that ordinary film type blocks cannot last owing to chemical action. For example, we quote the following from a letter received from Messrs. Vickers-Armstrongs Limited a few days ago:- "We shall be obliged if you will supply a 60 m/m Radiator Tube block to interchange with the "...." tube block shown on drawing PR.1001 enclosed herewith" Handwritten notes: Top edge: +280200B Middle right: Wlthl / XO Middle center: 440 ? | ||
