Huckerby} 12th April, 1939 Messrs.Rolls-Royce Ltd., D E R B Y. Dear Sirs, We thank you for your letter of the 6th inst. wherein we regret to note that a second Hydrolift jack is suffering from ball valve trouble. We shall look forward to receiving your drawings showing a hardened steel insert in the pump body and shall be interested to consider this immediately we have an opportunity of studying the detail. Meanwhile, we are drawing up a scheme of our own for your consideration and hope to past this to you in the course of the next day or so. The die casting of the body can, of course, be modified to suit your requirements but in both our interests this modification should be as small as possible, as we want to avoid making a special new set of dies. If the modification is such that we can use this on our standard product it will not seriously affect the cost. Assuring you of our attention and service, We are, Yours faithfully, For SMITH'S JACKING SYSTEMS LIMITED. Lonsdale Sessions Director & General Manager. DWS/IKS | ||
