Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std.4/JH.

6th October, 1938.

With regard to the question of accuracy of these units,
we are returning to you two units and would like you to alter the
setting of these respectively to a 3°C lower setting than standard
and a 3°C higher setting than standard.

We will then carry out tests with same and let you
know what relaxation of limits we could tolerate in the interests
of reducing the cost of these units.

We would be grateful if you would treat this matter
as urgent.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
