[Stamp: Received. J.S. D.C.S. 1930] Re- Spring Steering Wheels. Mr.Jack Barclay was talking to me to-day on this question, and says he feels convinced that if we were to thoroughly accustom ourselves to the feel and the benefits that are claimed for these steering wheels, we should quickly change over to them - at least for our Continental Touring Saloon - but Barclay thinks for all our chassis, particularly, in his opinion, the 20/25. I do not know, of course, what your opinion of these steering wheels is. I have driven cars to which they have been fitted. It is not easy to find any fault with them from the ordinary driver's point of view, and I think there is no question that they must in some respects reduce vibration and shocks being transmitted to the fullest extent to the driver's hands. Would you be agreeable to our having one of these wheels fitted to one of our Trials Cars so that all who drive can try it and give their opinion of it, provided of course the Works have no strong objection to them?
