To Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} From Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} X3861. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}5/MJ.9.1.31. Re. Spring Steering Wheels. Replying to Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}6/E30.12.30. We ran one of this type of wheel on 10-EX. car several years ago and found no advantage in it. It does not have any flexibility rotationally, and therefore does not help as regards steering joggles and road shocks. If a customer demanded such a wheel we see no reason why we should not let him have it, but we do not think it offers any advantages for us to consider adopting it as standard.
