STANDARDISATION of CHASSIS PARTS. Date 15.4.24. Completed 23/5/24 No. 3701 Description of Parts. GAUZE FOR PETROL FILTERS. 40/50 & 20 HP. Origin. To enable filters to be cleaned more readily. Experimental Test Report. Some time ago we standardised monel metal cloth filters in place of 160 mesh copper gauze because it was found the copper corroded away. We now wish to use 160 mesh monel metal gauze instead of the monel metal cloth because the cloth type filter is very difficult to clean. Road Test Report. Run 4700 miles on 6-G-11.
