X4698 Exptl. Dept. Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} /Les.5/KW. 8th February, 1934. The Packless Gland Co. Ltd., Windmill Road, Sunbury, Middlesex. For the attention of Mr. Martin-Hurst. Dear Sirs, Flexible Gland Hs. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} 1077. We do not like the idea of exposing the bellows of the above gland to a position where stones might hit it. We should like to know whether you think either of the pencil sketches on the enclosed print of Hs. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} 1077 is possible. If not, have you any suggestions for a simple method of protecting the bellows ? Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
