This can be 6 or 8 inches long. ③ Test-plate and feeler! Comprising a flat circular plate of about 6" dia rounded at the edges & with recess for earthing. Also a flexible metal strip (say of steel about 10 thou thick) mounted on a reliable insulating handle, for exploring sheet insulation. ④ Oven of about 18" to 2ft cubed, ventilated top and bottom and well lagged with asbestos. Capable of raising the temperature inside to at-least 150°C by means of heating element situated at the bottom.
