Dear Sirs,

As discussed in your telephone conversation with our Mr. West yesterday morning, we are sending you a sketch of the scheme which we propose to try in order to sound-insulate our car transmitting thermometer.

If the scheme is practicable, we shall send you the necessary details, but what we wish to know at the moment is whether you can supply us with a thermometer with a bulb of ther dimensions shown on attached sketch.
